15TH ANNUAL TOWN OF SHANDAKEN CELEBRATION! The event boasts fifty vendors, LIVE music, crafts, artisans, jewelry, gifts, gourmet treats, a variety of food vendors, a fire department Tug-o-War and a multitude of Kids Games (including the crowd favorite watermelon-eating contest). We also take this opportunity to recognize local notables for leaving a positive lasting impression on our community with the Pride of Shandaken and Hamlet Hero Awards. Shandaken Day has been hosted by the following communities: Mt. Tremper, Mt. Pleasant, Phoenicia, Allaben, Shandaken, Bushnellsville, Big Indian, Oliverea and Pine Hill.
