At the Pompton Lakes police department.  He was killed on his night train on his way home from a fill in shift on 8/9/2017.  All of the proceeds from registration will be donated to Special Olympics NJ where we have been able to raise 36k in his name since his passing.  Pete and I had volunteered with the Special Olympics since we were both 6 years old (37 years).  It was an organization that was very near and dear to his heart and by doing this run every year we are able to help them out and keep Pete’s memory alive. \n*This ride is a 60 mile police escorted ride

The HVBN feels strongly about helping bikers who may need help to fight addiction and this is why we have partnered with Friends for Recovery Dutchess to do just that! This fundraising event benefits Friends for Recovery Dutchess who help those battling addiction. This is the perfect event where bikers and other supporters can come together and just RELAX with family and friends while supporting and celebrating those in recovery. We named the event “REFUEL AND RECOVER” because we want this event to be focused on health and wellness\, self-reflection\, and family fun.
