The HVBN recently received an email from Abby Murphy, a teacher and advisor at Learning Haven, who is working with a group of children in a “fun scale model building program” to make model crafts of different types of vehicles. One of her students, Nathan, chose to build a motorcycle and searched the web for ideas. Nathan came across the Hudson Valley Biker Network website and “couldn’t sit still” in excitement while he showed his teacher our site. He also showed her another page with other models of motorcycles and asked to share the page with our group!
Nathan’s love for motorcycles rivals our own. In an age where motorcycle sales are declining, we owe it to Nathan, to show him that we appreciate his enthusiasm for motorcycles and we encourage him to continue to follow his passion. Nathan represents the next generation of potential motorcycle riders (or builders), who will be entrusted to carry on the values and traditions of our amazing motorcycle culture.
Ms. Abby Murphy is looking to surprise the class with the HVBN’s response to Nathan’s request at their next class together! Drop a picture of your motorcycle in the comments section at the bottom of our Facebook post or leave Nathan a nice comment at the bottom of this article. The HVBN has asked to see Nathan’s finished motorcycle project, so we can share his creativity with the motorcycle world and show him that biker love and respect!
